Wisconsin Dancesport Championships

On the competition front, Catie will be very busy the next two weeks. She and Chris were in Milwaukee this weekend competing at the Wisconsin Dancesport State Championships. This was her first major competition with a field of 9 couples in her age group and ability level. She also added a fourth dance, the Jive to the mix. Actually Catie and Aaron found our an hour before the competition that they would be doing Jive, and pretty much learned it on the fly. Since the competition was in Milwaukee at the Pfister Hotel, Caties Grandma and her Aunt Julie were also able to attend and cheer her on. Catie and Aaron danced really well in Cha-Cha, Rumba and Samba. Then came the time for the dreaded Jive. They actually did well in the Jive except one part were they lost their way. That break was a costly one. Even with this penalty they took third place in the field of nine. Congratulations Catie!
